Dining options

In overview all restaurants in Trenčín offer a daily menu – consisting of soup and main course, in some places an additional desert or fruit, with a choice between 2 – 4 meals a day.
Daily menu is served at lunchtime between 12.00 and 2 pm. In this case service is fast (up to 10 minutes) and price is low (3-4 €). If we choose from an ala carte menu the average service time may take up to 30 minutes.
Higher standard is offered by hotel restaurants, which adjust their menu according to clients. Apart from that in the town there are a few oriental and Italian pizza parlours.
Food delivery is becoming popular and is available from most restaurants. Regular customers but also those searching while walking through the town for good coffee or refreshment in a nice environment are welcome by local café and delicatessens.
Cool beer and cocktails – alcoholic and non-alcoholic are popular to drink in summer by both locals and tourists in some of the terraces which are outside most beer places and inns.
In the evening it is nice to visit wine cellars vinotechs pubs and bars. Some offer video projections and there is often live music.
