On the road between Nové Mesto nad Váhom and Trenčín on the right side it is impossible to ignore the ruins of Castle Beckov, which is situated on the steep 70 m high rock above a village with the same name.

Village Čachtice, especially Čachtice castle which is famous for the duchess Elizabeth Bathory well known for her cruelty. According to legend she used to take a bath in blood of young virgins to gain eternal youth and beauty.
Bošácka valley is situated in the north west part of Nové Mesto nad Váhom district. It is possible to drive here on the primary roads 61 Nové Mesto nad Váhom – Trenčín. From Trenčianske Bohuslavice direction northwest into the main peak of the Biele Karpaty (White Carpathians) there is an 18km long valley along the River Bošáčka.

North west from Nové Mesto nad Váhom there is Bošácka valley, which is part of the Biele Karpaty (White Carpathians). As its silent guard there is a fortified roman church at the hill in Haluzice.
This village belongs to the myjava-white carpatians region, a scattered settlement which is situated in the northern peak of the Malé Karpaty(Little Carpatians). The river Kamečnica flows through the village.
Visitors of Bzince pod Javorinou will definitely not miss the memorial place of the famous Slovak writer Ľudmila Podjavorinská, which is part of the exposition of Trenčín museum.

Nové Mesto nad Váhom lies in central Považie. First document times of the city are from 6. June 1253, when king Belo IV gave its inhabitants city rights for services shown during the Tartars invasion.
Recreational area of Nové Mesto nad Váhom involves the resort of Zelená voda. Total area size of the individual lakes as well as their mutual interconnection provides an opportunity to have fun and relaxation while doing aquatic sports, swimming, and fishing.
A unique park of reconstructions of Slovak castles, fortified castles and rare sacral sites can be found in Podolie, between Piešťany and Nové Mesto nad Váhom.

Castle Tematín was first documented in 1270 but it is definitely older. Ruins of the castle are situated on the western upper part of Považský Inovec in an area of Hrádok, southeast from Nové Mesto nad Váhom. The castle from its origins was a watch out location together with Trenčín, Beckov a Čachtice castles were part of protection of the northwest pass of the Hungarian empire.
A world famous spa resort 45 km of Trenčín. the spa specialises on treatment of skeletal system and nervous system disorders. A spring of sulphur-carbon and calcium-magnesium mineral water of 67 – 69 ºC can be found on the Spa Island, where sulphuric mud is extracted.
