Bošácka valley is situated in the north west part of Nové Mesto nad Váhom district. It is possible to drive here on the primary roads 61 Nové Mesto nad Váhom – Trenčín. From Trenčianske Bohuslavice direction northwest into the main peak of the Biele Karpaty (White Carpathians) there is an 18km long valley along the River Bošáčka.
Recreational area of Nové Mesto nad Váhom involves the resort of Zelená voda. Total area size of the individual lakes as well as their mutual interconnection provides an opportunity to have fun and relaxation while doing aquatic sports, swimming, and fishing.
Belong to Fatra-Tatras area of the West Carpathians. South of Trenčín, in the Jastrabské saddleback, the hills connect to Považský Inovec. On the east, they connect to Malá Fatra at the Fačkovské saddleback, while to the north the hills spread over the Briestenné settlement and connect to the Súľovské hills. The hills take up more than 900 km2.
Skiing centre of Soblahov - Ostrý vrch is in the village of Soblahov in Strážovské mountains . For fans of cross-country skiing there are ski routes (subserviced). Parking is about 300 m from the ski lift. It is possible to go mountain hiking in the surrounding both in winter and summer.
