Built in 1324, on the foundation of a 13th. century building, the church is a three-nave Basilica-type structure with a simple right-angle presbytery and a protruding-front-positioned tower on the west side.

Founded by the Jesuits in 1649, the church’s cornerstone was laid in 1653. The Jesuit, later Piarist Church of St. Francis Xaverský, was built in the early-Baroque style from 1653 – 1657, as one-nave building with side chapels with top opening emphoric oratories.

This church was built in the Classicist style in 1794. In 1935, a substantial reconstruction was done mainly to the church’s interior. An Academic sculptor Jozef Pospíšil created the corpus of the Crucified Christ.

The Chapel was built in 1789, over the site of an earlier Gothic church that belonged to the City hospital. The Baroque and Classicist style main altar with the picture of St. Anne dates to the second half of the 18th century.

Up to 1990 this church was characterized as an “older building” adjusted to baroque style. Studies of the church in this year confirmed that its oldest part is from Roman times, changing the date to middle of the 13th century. Additionally there are medieval wall paintings. Together with The birth of Virgin Mary church it belongs to some of the oldest sacral buildings in Trenčín.

Opatová became a part of Trenčin in 1985, till then it was an independent village. Church of St. Stanislav is one nave built in Baroque style. Altar picture of St. Stanislav dates from 1880 and was painted by Jozef Božetech Klemens.

The name of Horné Orechové was first mentioned in 1439 and the origin comes from the numerous nut trees in the area. The inhabitants were in the past farming, vineyards orchards and to a lesser extent specialized crafts.

The village Dolná Súča, is situated in a location rich in historical events. It is located in a quaint circle of the Biele Karpaty (White Carpathian’s) with dominant feature of a calcium mountain (516.2 a.s.l.), majestically hovering above the village. In 1971 it was announced as a natural heritage site with an area of 26.4 hector.

Horná Súča lies in the Biele Karpaty (White Carpathian’s) mountains and is one of the biggest villages of Middle Považie. It was first mention in 1208.
Horná Súča, has preserved its folk tradition to date thanks to wind musicians Hornosúčanka, Chabovienka, Vlčovanka, and the singing chorus Hornosúčan (established in 1974), male singing band Chotár (established in 2008) and folk ensemble Čajka (established in 1996) and Kukulienka.
