Castle in Záblatie
The late renaissance castle in Záblatie from the end of the 17th century was originally built as a water fortress. In the 18th century it was adjusted to baroque style and at the same time The chapel of The birth of Virgin Mary was built.
During the 18th century the chapel received baroque inventory, main alter of The birth of Virgin Mary, and a side alter of The death of St. John Nepomuk. The southeast facades of the building there is a sundial with a wall painting of Pegasus from end of the 17th beginning of the 18th century. T
he tower with keyhole shaped shooting holes has a clock with a bell switching mechanism dating from 1758. In the beginning of the 19th century an English park was founded around the castle.
