Evangelic cemetery

After the time that the Lutheran reformation found its home in Trenčín, the evangelists’ owned two churches, lower high school, and cemeteries, which they lost in 1671 during re- catholicization .

Former city mayor D. Lipský, Czech exile, from Germany (nowadays Havlíčkov Brod), commissioned his garden in Horný Šianec to the evangelists’ in Trenčín. This cemetery is currently used very little. For a small space there are numerous important figures from religious and agricultural and social life buried here.
