Horná Súča
Horná Súča lies in the Biele Karpaty (White Carpathian’s) mountains and is one of the biggest villages of Middle Považie. It was first mention in 1208.
Horná Súča, has preserved its folk tradition to date thanks to wind musicians Hornosúčanka, Chabovienka, Vlčovanka, and the singing chorus Hornosúčan (established in 1974), male singing band Chotár (established in 2008) and folk ensemble Čajka (established in 1996) and Kukulienka.
Every year cultural events such as harvest celebrations, local balls, and festival of wind music Okolo Súče, festival of singing ensembles and meeting of Czech and Slovaks on Peňažná take place.
Church of St. John Nepomuk, roman catholic, originally baroque church, is located in the centre of Horná Súča. It was commissioned by Duke Ján Illešházi in year 1771. The classicistic alter is dated to the first half of the 19th century.
