Slovak glass museum in Lednické Rovné
Its exposition takes place in a nearby-renewed castle from the end of the 16th century (former seat of Schreiber family, the original owners of the glass factory). A park with numerous rare foreign species of plants and trees, it belongs to the castle. The permanent exposition of crystal is situated on the first floor of the castle, and depicts the history of the development of Slovak crystal, from its oldest documented time till now.
In 2001 a new exposition opened with works of crystal artists from Japan, America, Australia and many others. The museum offers guide services according to wish in Slovak or another six foreign languages. There is also an audio-visual documentary focussing on glass production. Screening of movies with glass manufacturing processes, and also information regarding its special techniques. Close to the museum there is a shop of local glass factory with today’s products.
