Soblahov
Approximately 5 Km from Trenčín in the closed valley of Strážovské mountains along Soblahov stream there is a village Soblahov 3 km in length. Above the village is the Strážovské mountains – approximately 767.5 a.s.l. Soblahov is one of the oldest villages in the Trenčín area. The most important historical sight in Soblahov is an early gothic church of St. Nicolaus Bishop, dated from the first half of the 14th century The statue of St. John Nepomuk, was donated to the village in the 18th century by Duke Illesházy. It has an interesting history. Above the village in the cemetery there is a renewed chapel of St. Vendelín from the year 1802.
