Trenčianske Teplice
The spa city of Trenčianske Teplice is located 15 km of Trenčín. The spa provides a suitable treatment for skeletal and nervous systems. Natural healing springs of calcium-sulphur water with the temperature of 36 – 40°C reach the surface right in the spa pools (e.g. piscinas) and are exploited without limits. Among other interesting objects in the city belong a Romanesque church of the early 20th century with carved wooden ceiling, and music pavilion of 1932. Today, a museum is in the original Classicist spa building of the mid 19th century. Besides bath treatments the visitors can also take advantage of sport activities such tennis, mini-golf, pins, cyclo-tourism, hiking, fishing, or horse back riding. During the summer, an international festival of classical music called Hudobné leto (Musical Summer) is organised, as well as a film festival called ART FILM. Ample possibilities for skiing and hiking in Strážovské vrchy (Strážovské hills).
